2021 WAEC: Kings College student emerges best student

A student of Kings College in Lagos State, Akinyemi Oluwafemi has emerged the best student in the just concluded West African Senior School Certificate Examination in Nigeria.

Mr Patrick Areghan, Head of the Nigeria National Office of the Council, had in a statement, said the percentage of candidates who obtained credit and above in a minimum of five (5) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, was 65.24%.

Areghan explained that out of the 1,560,261 million candidates that sat the examination, 1,398,370 million candidates, representing 89.62%, obtained credit and above in a minimum of any five subjects (i.e with or without English Language and/ or Mathematics. Akinyemi Oluwafemi, according to his king's college had nine distinctions in the examination.

He wrote the following: Data processing, Economics, Mathematics, English language, Civil Education, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Computer studies.
