JAMB officially held a meeting with the Proprietors of accredited CBT centres on “Contemporary Issues of Standardization, Registration and New Payment Modes” at the University of Lagos on Tuesday, 13th December 2016.
The following are the extracts from the meeting:
SOLUTION AND NEW INNOVATION FOR CBT CENTRES
• Activation of JAMB Vsat for every centre
• No more Offline Registration due to recorded data mismatch
• New accredited centres will be provided Vsat for Registration
• There will be 3 sets of computer systems in every centre for:
- Self Help – Candidates who can create profile
- CBT centre staff to help candidates to create profile
- Allocated Bank staff to assist candidates
• All CBT centers are to be cashless
• CBT centres to open bank accounts with any of the participating banks.
• Mandatory bank presence at all JAMB CBT centres for all cash and card payments.
• All service fees will be paid directly into CBT centre owners account.
• Biometric data capture of each candidates’ ten (10) fingers. (Any candidate whose total fingers could not be captured at the CBT Centres should be referred to JAMB Headquarters, Bwari, Abuja).
• JAMB e-Brochure and e-Syllabus are mandatory and should be given to every candidate
