FG Agreed to Pay N23b EAA Arrears Owed ASUU

The federal government has agreed to pay arrears of N23billion owed Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) for 2009 and 2010 as Earned Academic Allowances (EAA).

As contained in the document, the resolution also states that “The government offered to pay N1 billion monthly for six months, while the balance up to 2016 would be paid at the end of the forensic audit of universities accounts.

The resolution also urged federal government to resume its “quarterly release of N55 billion that would be ring-fenced for the purpose of massive injection of funds to deposition Nigeria universities.”
