Chimamanda Adichie Appointed Visiting Professor at University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Alongside Two Global Scholars

The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) has appointed world-renowned author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie as a visiting professor. She is joined by two other distinguished scholars: Prof. Kevin Urama, an executive at the African Development Bank, and Prof. James Robinson, a political economist from the University of Chicago.
Approved by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Simon Ortuanya, these strategic appointments aim to elevate the university's global academic profile and research capacity. Adichie will contribute to the arts and humanities through lectures and mentorship, while Prof. Urama and Prof. Robinson will strengthen the fields of development economics and political economy, respectively.
The university’s management noted that these roles involve teaching, research collaboration, and strategic academic interactions. This move is seen as a major step toward reclaiming UNN's legacy as a globally competitive institution and deepening its ties with world-class intellectuals and distinguished alumni.
