UTME 2024: 8,401 Candidates Score above 300 as JAMB Gives Breakdown of performance

During a press briefing in Abuja on Monday, April 29, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, the registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), revealed that 8,401 candidates achieved scores above 300 in the recently released 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results. These high-performing candidates constitute a mere 0.5 percent of the total 1,842,464 candidates who participated in the tertiary entrance examination. Oloyede provided this statistical breakdown to offer insight into the performance spectrum of UTME candidates and the distribution of scores across the board.
