The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the sale of Direct Entry (DE) forms nationwide will start on February 28. The registration process will run until March 28. This sale is open to foreign candidates seeking tertiary education in Nigeria through the Direct Entry mode.
JAMB spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, stated that the board would not process applications from institutions that have failed to verify A’level certificates presented by some candidates for the 2023 admission. Candidates not awaiting results must have uploaded their A’level qualifications, O’level results, and DE registration template during registration.
No DE candidates will be processed for admission until their claimed results are uploaded and verified by the awarding institutions on JAMB’s Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) mail platform. DE candidates awaiting A’level results of IJMB/JUPEB/NABTEB must have uploaded their admission letter and registration template during registration.
Applicants with Cambridge certificates for the pre-2018 examination year should directly visit Cambridge for verification, which may take up to 28 days. The verification result will be forwarded to the Board and reflected on the e-Facility profile of the DE candidate. Statement of results is accepted for registration only within three years of the date of award.
JAMB will allow upgrades from UTME to DE for candidates whose DE results have not been released at the point of UTME registration and who indicated they are awaiting A-level results.
