Betty Olanrewaju, a Materials Engineering graduate from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), has gained attention for her remarkable academic turnaround. After a difficult start in her first year where she recorded a 1.68 GPA, Olanrewaju adopted new study strategies and a disciplined approach to her coursework. Her persistence paid off, as she eventually graduated with a 4.04 GPA, earning a Second Class Upper Division degree.

Beyond her academic improvements, Olanrewaju took on leadership roles and engaged in student organizations focused on academic empowerment. Her story is being highlighted by OAU officials as a source of motivation for students, particularly women in STEM fields, to demonstrate that early academic setbacks do not define a student's ultimate potential.
