NECO has released the result of the November/December 2022 Senior School Certificate Examination. The Registrar of NECO, Prof Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, announced that out of the 59,124 candidates that sat for the exam, 31,316 were male, representing 52.96%, while 27,808 were female, representing 47.03%.
Wushishi further disclosed that 44,162 candidates, representing 76.13%, got Credit and above in English Language, while 43,096, representing 74.69%, got Credit and above in Mathematics. In addition, 33,914 candidates, representing 57.36%, got five Credits and above, including English Language and Mathematics.
The number of candidates caught for exam malpractice rose sharply, with 11,419 candidates booked for various forms of malpractice. The exam was conducted from 21 November to 21 December 2022, and the results were released 57 days later.
