An unidentified father has been arrested for writing the ongoing 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for his son. The registrar of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Professor Ishaq Oloyede, disclosed this while inspecting Computer Based Test (CBT) centres in Kaduna state on Wednesday, April 24. Oloyede expressed dismay at examination cheaters and impersonators, describing the father's actions as "uncalled for." He also expressed concern about the kind of parenting prevalent in this generation. The JAMB boss noted that the board was able to apprehend the man because they were ahead of impersonators. Oloyede, however, thanked parents for their support and for adhering to JAMB's instructions and guidelines.
