JAMB Cautions Parents and Guardians to Avoid Registration Centers
JAMB (Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board) has issued a stern warning to parents and guardians, urging them to refrain from visiting its registration centers and engaging in any activities that could disrupt the registration process. The caution follows an incident involving a Business Administration graduate from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, who was apprehended at a Professional Registration Centre (PRC) while attempting to obtain a registration e-PIN for her brother. This action was contrary to the Board's repeated advisories against third-party interference in candidates' matters.
The woman explained that she was purchasing the e-PIN on behalf of her brother, who was in Kaduna, while she was in Abuja. Her intention was to facilitate his registration upon his return to Abuja. However, the Board deemed this act a serious violation of the registration process's ethics, as it could compromise its integrity.
JAMB emphasized, once again, its prohibition of parents and guardians from visiting registration and examination centers. The Board reiterated its commitment to sanctioning any individuals or groups found acting contrary to these guidelines.
