HOW TO CHECK JAMB 2023 UTME RESULTS ON TUESDAY (02/05/23)

May 01, 2023  JAMB Result

According to the minutes of an emergency management meeting held over the weekend in Abuja, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) announced on Monday that it will begin the release of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Board (UTME) results on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. The board had delayed the release to ensure that all necessary screenings were concluded, and they wanted to ensure that the mean and standard deviation were reasonably obtained before releasing the results. Candidates who had challenges during the examination would not see their results but would receive a notification for a rescheduled examination.

The board also noted that three categories of candidates who missed their examinations had been rescheduled for a mop-up examination on Saturday, May 6, 2023. The categories of candidates include those who were verified at their centers but could not sit the examination, those who could not be biometrically verified, and those with mismatched data.

Despite recording the lowest reported cases of infractions, some candidates were unable to take the examination on the first day due to human negligence. The board had informed Nigerians that it would be using innovative methods to conduct the exercise with the aim of completely arresting incidences of examination infractions.

Out of the 1,586,765 candidates who indicated an interest in sitting the examination, only 80,166 are outstanding. As part of the decisions reached at the end of the emergency management meeting held on Sunday, May 1, 2023, the board has fixed Saturday, May 6, 2023, for all categories of candidates who have not sat their examination to take their examination.
